One of the best body punchers in the business, Agit Kabayel stopped Damian Knyba in the third round Saturday at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, successfully defending his WBC interim heavyweight title in the main event of a DAZN broadcast. Kabayel halted the previously unbeaten Knyba with sustained pressure late in the third round of their scheduled 12-round bout. Referee Mark Lyson stopped the fight with 27 seconds remaining after Knyba absorbed a series of unanswered punches near the ropes. Knyba started well in the opening round, using his jab to control distance and opening a small cut under Kabayel’s right eye. Kabayel adjusted in the second round and increased his output. In the third, Kabayel landed clean right hands that cut Knyba over the left eyebrow and left him unable to defend himself effectively. In the co-main event, Petar Milas stopped Granit Shala in the tenth and final round of their IBF International heavyweight bout. Milas scored two knockdowns in the final round before Shala’s corner threw in the towel at 1:30 of the round. Milas rallied after trailing early, outworking Shala over the second half of the fight before closing strongly in the tenth. Jadier Herrera stopped Ricardo Nunez in the eighth round to win the vacant WBC interim lightweight title. Herrera was dropped in the first round but recovered and gradually took control before the referee halted the fight following a sustained exchange.
