Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing claims Saul Alvarez would not hesitate to "chin" Oscar De La Hoya should the chance come.
The sour relationship between Mexican Superstar Saul " Canelo " Alvarez and Mexican legend Oscar De La Hoya took a further downward turn when the two clashed at the Canelo- Munguia presser.
During the presser Oscar, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, took a swipe at the current undisputed Middleweight champion and urged him to put some respect on his ( Oscar's) name .
Oscar stated that Canelo's rise to fame and fortune was due to his efforts and machinations, hence deserved credit and not criticisms.
Alvarez upon his turn used unsavoury language on his former mentor and Promoter with whom he had split in 2020, having been together for over a decade.
He alleged that Oscar stole from his boxers and advised his current stable of fighters to lawyer up.
Canelo ( 60-2-2) recounted an incident where Oscar would have stolen from his opponent Golovkin if his ( Canelo's) lawyers hadn't intervened.
To this Eddie Hearn reacted, " I spoke with Canelo last night and he wants to chin Oscar. He won't mind knocking Oscar out at the least opportunity ", Hearn revealed.
Meanwhile Oscar is set to file a lawsuit against Alvarez for defamation.
