Boxing legend and Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather is in the news again.
The multiple division world champion who retired undefeated filed a lawsuit against Showtime and former Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza.
The suit alleges that at least $340 million in his career earnings were misappropriated and seeks to recover the funds, as well as punitive damages, in connection with an alleged scheme involving ex-advisor Al Haymon, per TMZ.
The filing references major pay-per-view bouts and claims key financial records were later said to have been “lost in a flood” upon request.
Presently, Mayweather has announced a bout in Greece against Mike Zambidis.
