Chris Eubank Jnr has definitely run himself into some trouble.
Frank Warren says he is going to sue Chris Eubank Jr for his remarks at today’s press conference.
Eubank Jr sparked controversy today when he said many of today’s boxing promotors or “sc**bags.”
Eubank said when asked why he picked ‘BOXXER’ to promote his fights: “Why BOXXER? Because every other promoter out here is a sc**bag. We have Frank Warren behind me, he has been lying and cheating his way through boxing for the last few decades. He sued me for a couple of hundred thousand a few years ago so obviously I'd never go with him. Sc**bag."
Kalle Sauerland, [Wasserman Boxing promoter] kept me in a terrible contract for several years. Sc**bag.
"Eddie Hearn and Frank Smith tried everything they could to make this Conor Benn fight..."
Eubank then concluded saying that Turki Alalshikh is the only one helping boxing and not taking money from fighters.
Warren responded saying he is going to sue Eubank again telling TalkSport: “ The bottom line of it is very simple. He was sued by me for a legal breach of a contract and I was successful in suing him and he paid substantial damages.
"Now you know what he can't accept is what's legal and what's not. And as regarding what he's just said just so you know I'm gonna keep it short and sweet. He's gonna get sued again for the comments that he's made publicly.”
Warren is still basking in the glory of Daniel Dubois' emphatic victory over Anthony Joshua; but he's still got time on his hands to press charges.
Let's see how this unfolds.
