Jason Moloney Becomes Latest High-Profile Addition to Zuffa Boxing With Multi-Fight Deal

Former bantamweight world champion Jason Moloney has become the latest established name to commit his future to Zuffa Boxing after signing a multi-fight promotional agreement, further strengthening the company’s growing roster of world-class fighters. The move continues Zuffa Boxing’s aggressive recruitment strategy as it seeks to establish itself as a major force in professional boxing.

The Australian veteran arrives with extensive championship experience and remains firmly in the world title picture. Moloney has built his reputation by consistently facing elite opposition throughout his professional career and is currently ranked No. 3 by the WBC at bantamweight, keeping him in contention for another opportunity at world honours.

Moloney, who owns a professional record of 29 victories with 20 knockouts against four defeats, captured the WBO bantamweight world title in 2023 by defeating Vincent Astrolabio. He successfully defended the championship against Saul Sanchez before surrendering the belt to Japan’s Yoshiki Takei in his next outing.

The 35-year-old heads into his new promotional deal with momentum after returning to winning ways. His most recent appearance ended in a unanimous decision victory over Andre Donovan, leaving him well positioned as he begins the next chapter of his career under the Zuffa Boxing banner.

Speaking after the announcement, Moloney welcomed the opportunity to join the promotion, saying he admired its ambition to match top fighters against one another. He also reiterated his own desire to compete against the best and work his way back to another world championship.

While Zuffa Boxing has not yet confirmed Moloney’s debut opponent or event, the promotion indicated that further details regarding his first appearance will be announced in the coming weeks.

Moloney’s signing is another indication of Zuffa Boxing’s commitment to assembling an experienced roster across multiple weight divisions. In recent months, the promotion has secured multi-fight agreements with several notable names as it continues expanding its presence in the sport.

For Moloney, the agreement represents an opportunity to pursue another world title while competing on what is expected to be one of boxing’s fastest-growing platforms. Despite already achieving world champion status, the Australian has made it clear his ambitions remain unchanged.

With his experience, proven credentials and continued standing among the top bantamweight contenders, Moloney adds further credibility to Zuffa Boxing’s roster. Attention will now turn to who the promotion selects as his first opponent as the former champion begins his latest quest to return to the top of the division.
