Queensberry And Boxxer Reach Agreement For Buatsi-Hutchinson Bout

Queensberry and Boxxer Reach Agreement For Buatsi - Hutchinson Bout.

Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions and Ben Shalom's Boxxer have finally reached an agreement for the Joshua Buatsi versus Richard Hutchinson bout.

Purse bids were announced for the Buatsi-Hutchinson bout as the two vie for the WBO interim light heavyweight title.

Willy Hutchinson ( 18-1) was impressive in his victory over Craig Richards at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on June 1.

Hutchinson scored a unanimous decision over the former Buatsi opponent, winning the vacant WBC Silver Light Heavyweight title in the process.

Nickname " Braveheart", his only loss happened in March 2021 against Lennox Clarke, when Hutchinson challenged for the British and Commonwealth Super Middleweight titles. The fight was stopped due to a severe laceration above his left eye.

Joshua Buatsi, a British of Ghanaian descent last fought in February; handing the dangerous Dan Azeez his first career loss.

Undefeated in twenty bouts with thirteen knockouts, the 31-year-old was looking to lock horns with Anthony Yarde prior to this announcement.

Buatsi at this point looks primed for a proper world title shot; but Hutchinson is in tremendous form and could be a handful for the Croydon based fighter.

Whatever happens this should be a great bout.
