Ryan Garcia Earned The Right To Face Me - Gervonta Tank Davis

Despite his hand speed, power and core boxing skills many analysts and boxing fans have argued that Ryan Garcia's rise to the limelight and subsequent fight with Gervonta Davis is a result of his social media popularity and affiliation with Golden Boy Promotions.

Despite having the odds in his favor, Gervonta 'Tank' Davis still believes Garcia earned the spot to fight him fair and square. Tank believes Ryan Garcia is an elite fighter and has gone through the mill to earn the chance to step into the ring against him.

Davis gives Garcia the credit he deserves for defeating the likes of Javier Fortuna and Luke Campbell even though he promises to give him "an ass whooping" when they finally meet in the ring.

"He’s legit... I think so... He beat Fortuna, he beat Luke Campbell. I think he earned his spot," Davis told a group of reporters.

Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) will face Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) on April 22 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada at a catchweight of 136 pounds. Even though there is no title on the line, Davis and Garcia will be putting their undefeated records on the line to decide who is the better fighter.
