Samuel Quaye Vows To KO Daniel Quaye In National Title Defence

Current national Super Lightweight title holder Samuel Quaye defends his title against namesake Daniel Quaye at the Bukom Boxing Arena on June 15.

The much anticipated clash is one between two young pugilists who are neighbours, friends ( maybe) and obviously rivals.

The various communities in Accra(Bukom, Jamestown etc ) where the two reside have been set agog concerning this match up, with most fans divided on who would emerge victor at the end of hostilities.

Ace TV caught up with Samuel Quaye at The Gym in Accra and the lad was in fantastic shape. " I know Daniel very well ", Samuel stated, " He's my brother and friend, we live in the same house and that's why this fight has to happen. Two kings cannot live in the same palace. I am the king, I am the champion, and I'll show that on June 15", Samuel Quaye declared seething with ferocity.

Manager for Samuel Quaye, Mr. Ahmed Nureni-Davis expressed confidence in his ward winning the fight despite admitting that it wouldn't be a walk in the park. " It’s a tough one, but that's what makes champions. These are the kind of fights that I want for Samuel."

"Because my goal is to get him to the world title and he cannot get there if he's unable to run through the likes of Daniel Quaye," Davis emphasised.

Samuel Quaye ( 8-1), who won the title in March against Richard Amenfu believes he'll defeat Daniel Quaye via knockout to retain his national title. He urged fans to show up for the bout.

Daniel Quaye ( 6-0-1) is a product of the Bronx Boxing Gym, a crafty counter puncher who relies on hand speed and movement.

The bill, dubbed " Fists Of Carnage " is put up by Box Office Boxing Promotions, ACE Power Boxing Promotions, Twinstars Boxing Promotions and Aborigines Boxing Promotions

It's packed with an avalanche of juicy bouts and promises a delectable night of boxing.
